Since this seems to be something that keeps coming up in other threads, who inspires you? Past, present, political, religious, familial, writer, musician, athlete, etc. Why does this person(s) inspire you?

I think I'm more often inspired by people who are victims of awful circumstances but stand firm and uncompromising than anything else.
I'm also inspired by a friend of mine who passed away about 10 days ago. I went to the funeral on Saturday and there were 725 there. I don't think I know that many people. And he had touched that many lives in a positive way. It really makes me want to be a better person, less focused on myself and my personal goals and more focused on helping people out like he did.

Not many people inspire me. Nature inspires me and finding how far I can push my abilities against nature insipres me. It may be carving some snow on a snowboard, hitting the ocean with a surfboard, or heading over my handle bars mountain biking. Nature always wins but the battle inspires me.
I guess the idea of God and Jesus insipre me to not be a total shithead.
Stevie Ray Vaughan shames into wanting to put down the guitar but doesn't inspire me to play.
