Unfortunately, it's so elementary, and the big time investors behind the drive in the stock market aren't so stupid. This isn't the false economy of 2000.

I watched this last night - didn't know it was on, just flipping channels until I got to PBS. I didn't know much about the guy as I hadn't been terribly interested in politics until I got into my 30s, but Jesus, was this guy evil through most of his life- politically at any rate. I also had no idea what happened to him so was really shocked by the end of the show. Talk about what goes around comes around.
I nearly didn't feel bad about his fate. And then was somewhat disappointed in myself for not feeling bad for him. Worth watching, for sure.

I found it facinating. Couldn't turn it off.
It shows the brilliance and diabolical tactics and of these winning campaign managers not just Atwater. It's basically like demonstrating the inner workings of the sausage plant... not to mention showing how full of shit our politicians really are.
