I've been thinking. yeah I know, stop the press.

But I started a thread about Jesus. If you believe what you read, there's only one true religion.

Let the games begin.

I mean, the Jews can't be taken seriously. Or the Christians. Or the Muslims. Or the Hindus. Or any organised religion.

I mean, is there any organisation that actually believes in this shit?

I think we all get it wrong to one degree or another. I think the closest thing to "the one true religion" would just involve loving God (in whatever form you see God) and truly loving your neighbour and acting accordingly. Not sure it would involce religion in any way.

South Park doesn't really determine the rightness of a religion.

Who are we to question the wisdom of South Park?

The thing is Jim, we were all brought up on it. We, as an age group, have rejected it. It doesn't mean to say our kids will. And that's scary, especially if you know my kids.

i'd have to think that on a whole there's much less a chance of kids becoming religious if he or she isn't brought on it.

But if your parents are atheists, how else do you rebel besides getting in with a fundamentalist crowd?

You're saying if a kid's brought up atheist, there's little chance of them becoming religious? It's the same as a kid choosing to worship a different god, or gods, from their parents (or no gods at all for that matter). It's a matter of adopting a different belief system...and no, I don't think it's all a matter of reactionary rebellious behaviour.
