That's fairly surprising, seen as how he tried to escape not that long ago and had already obtained weapons. Burzum isn't even that good, but I guess this should be mentioned seen as how if it were the US, this dude would probably be on death row.

He wouldn't have gotten death in the US because the murder wasn't premeditated.
Also, many people think Varg still has some incredible music left in him. The guy that went to prison with him for being an accomplice went on to release the most famous industrial black metal album in history after he was released. It will be terribly interesting to see what he does now. At least, it will be interesting to me

Haha, Mayhem is fucking terrible. Noone I know likes Mayhem more than Burzum. Anyone that listens to a lot of black metal will tell you De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas is one of the most overrated black metal albums ever.
