Sorry Reid/Orpheus, whoever else.
Basically the backwards yokels that form the Texas Board of Education have decided that evolution is a farce, the U.S. was founded on Christianity with no separation between Church/State, and that Joseph McCarthy has been "vindicated," and they are making it their priority to put these views into Texas elementary school textbooks.
The thing is, Texas produces a large % of the nation's textbooks and if education in Texas goes this way, then so goes the nation's. Truly frightening stuff. Fucking bizarro world down there.

Unfortunately, it's so elementary, and the big time investors behind the drive in the stock market aren't so stupid. This isn't the false economy of 2000.

So what? If other states don't like the textbooks produced they can produce their own? McCarthy has largely been vindicated and there are better examples from the Progressive Era of blind witch hunts. Most laws in America ARE founded upon "Christian Morals." It's all a matter of the lens you choose to look through. John Dewey and countless liberals have done the same damn thing. Kindergarten was started by Dewey to try and make sure that the "apple forms before it falls from the tree." This is why we need federalism.
