Here is the dilemma:
Candidate X has run for, and won, the nomination for Party A to a certain office in a primary election. Candidate X is also supporting the campaigns of Candidates Y and Z for different offices. The catch is that Candidates Y and Z belong to Party B.
As a result, Party A is now demanding that Candidate X steps down for the nomination, because they deem it's unacceptable for Candidate X to be in any association with a campaign for a Party B member.

Was X's support of the other party's candidates made public before he was nominated?
Yes.
In that case I vote for the candidate. The voters who nominated him knew that he was doing it, that's all that should matter.
Yeah, I think in that fact scenario, it's not much of a question. Now, if he didn't announce this advocacy for the other party's candidates until AFTER gaining the nomination, it's a more interesting dilemma.

The candidate, especially as it seems to be a consistent position. Rote fealty to political parties is one of the worst features of our current political climate.

I'm quite pleased with the voting, as I agree with the unanimous consensus, also. I was thinking about just posting this article in the generic GOP thread, but thought I'd make a little game out of it without immediately sharing who was part of what party. I was curious if there would be any difference of opinion, and there was not. Good to see.
