Sarah Palin says "no." What say you?

Quote:
Former US Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin has come out against a mosque and community center being planned near the "Ground Zero" and asked "peace-seeking Muslims" to reject the plans.

"Twin Towers site is too raw. Peace-seeking Muslim, pls (please) understand, Ground Zero mosque is unnecessary provocation. Pls (please) reject it in interest of healing," she tweeted.

In May, a New York community board approved the building of a 13-story mosque and Islamic cultural centre close to the Ground Zero site whether the twin towers of the World Trade Center collapsed on 9/11 but the project still faces resistance from some groups in New York.

The mosque did not need the permission from the board, but the approval is symbolic of the majority of New Yorkers attitude towards the project.

The plan was pushed by a Kuwaiti-born imam, Feisal Abdul Rauf and will cost USD 100 million.

While some people opposed the move, New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg came out in a powerful defence for the Cordoba House to be built near Ground Zero.

"I think it's fair to say if somebody was going to try, on that piece of property, to build a church or a synagogue, nobody would be yelling and screaming," Bloomberg had said in May.

The Islamic center will have a swimming pool, basketball court, meeting rooms, a 500-seat auditorium, banquet facilities, theatrical programming, art exhibitions and cooking classes.

Sarah Palin should start using Chrome. It would spellcheck twitter for her.

I've been reading a LOT of New Yorkers who are really pissed off at the Sarah Palins of the world right now, in a way that is very reminiscent of 2003-2004 when every right-wing hick from West Buttfuck used 9/11 as a political weapon for their hateful, violent agendas. Meanwhile, those same people couldn't give a FLYING FUCK about New York City, its residents, or especially the VALUES of its residents 99% of the time, and would probably hate most of the people who were killed on 9/11 if they met them on the street.

You want to tie in the disgusting hate going on in Mufreesboro TN, surrounding a proposed mosque expansion there as well?

Am I the only one who doesn't care whether there is a mosque two blocks from the WTC site? Am I crazy to have no feeling at all about the matter?

You fucking heathen, the pilgrims settled here so they could establish a Christian nation away from the heathens of Europe who let anyone worship whatever they want.

Personally, I'd have not built a Mosque and just built a runway instead. How irritating would it be for a terrorist to try and fly a plane into a building and end up making a textbook landing!

Step 1) Muslims build a community center.
Step 2) Something happens.
Step 3) Sharia law in Tennessee.

Most victims of Al-Qaeda are Muslim.
