What is seldom said is that human flourishing is a complex and delicate thing, and that we needn’t choose whether government or the market jeopardizes it more, because both can threaten it at the same time.
My take is that one is probably more menacing than the other, but that the conjunction of the two is far more menacing than either alone.

I don't appreciate having read that article.
It's like, I don't feel dumber for having read the article. It's more that I feel dirty when an opportunist like Palin employs actual analysis in her rhetoric. She's commodifying the narrative.

yes, she's REAL dumb. Must be the dumbest person on the planet. Clearly, she did a terrible job running Alaska. SHe'd definitely not a successful self marketer.
Oh yeah, btw....when we spent a trillion dollars in stimulus...weren't there promises made? Something about unemployment going down to 8 percent. Another something about thousands of jobs being created from construction and making everything all better. And then Biden got soooo excited about how great everything was that we just had a Spring of Recovery?
These buffoons are the ones you want to trust with the economy? OMG.

in light of thodoks' posting volume decreasing in recent months, i've contacted mrs. palin's offices to see if she would be interested in a part time posting gig at RM to flesh things out a bit on that front. i will, of course, keep you all informed on the progress of our negotiations.
