This can be RM's version of givemesomethingtoread.com with the difference that ideally you've read the piece already and you're posting it because you think it's worth sharing. This way, someone who's looking for something interesting to read can have a selection of good pieces on diverse topics in a single thread. I'm thinking mostly of 'lengthy' pieces, but I guess it would be ok to share shorter articles you come across but don't always feel compelled to create a new thread about. They don't have to be new, but obviously it's best if they're still relevant in some way.

I'll get things started:

This is insanely cool. It's a lengthy study on economic productivity, growth, the impact of knowledge and networks thereof available in pdf, but there's also a plethora of information on economic output for a lot of countries throughout time presented in super duper visualizations. Worth checking out.

This little paragraph summed it up for me..

"The fact that prayers are never answered when the possibility of coincidence is eliminated meshes with another fact. If we analyze God's responses to ambiguous prayers using statistical tools, what we find is that there is never any statistical evidence for prayer. In other words, when we statisically compare prayer to coincidence for explaining any situation, they are identical. "

I would find this fascinating if it wasn't for the fact that my family is still living there. Shit keeps getting more and more violent and bizarre at the same time.
