Ok, it's really not that sexy, but voting against blue laws will actually bring some progress I think.
My hope is even if my county doesn't pass it (giant stadium sized baptist church basically says it won't pass), some counties I can drive to easily will, the inevitable pressure will eventually end this state wide religious facism.
Truett Cathy has already proven you can have your own values, not open sunday and still have a very successful business.

Since we're talking Election Day in here, in just a few minutes I'm going to vote for a city council candidate who's running his campaign in our building. It's always nice to cast a vote for someone you actually know.

This reminds of the religion fanatics in Earthbound that want to paint everything blue.
Wait, so maybe the fanatics were blue as a allusion to the term "blue laws", god, i love that funky game.

Same here. I just voted for a candidate for Erie County Executive who is a client and friend of my boss. Last year I got to vote for a neighbor for State Legislator who goes to my gym. It's even better when you agree with them politically.

On the topic of knowing people running for office, a good friend of mine ran for city council where we go to school last year, and his brother is running for school board in their hometown this year (friend was a senior, I think his brother's probably a sophomore). Fun fact: friend is a yellow dog dem, while his brother is a libertarian.
