I can also remember taking a telecourse in which I never checked out the tapes from the library, took all the tests in one week and received a B. I think it was an art history class.

it's the last week so they're stuck. A few dropped right away. I tend to let students take a W up to halfway through the semester anyway, even though that's not allowed.
