I haven't heard from my brother for the last 5 hours. Not answering his phone. He lives in upstate New York. I know he's probably fine, but I'm still a little worried.

Water is dripping in through my fireplace, in the space between the drywall and chimney. My garage has about a 1/2" of water pool by the doors since the drains and gutters saturated. But so far we still have power, so I am not complaining.
Hopefully everyone gassed up their cars and stocked up on food (We bought a month's worth of baby food on Thursday. ). The supply chain in the NE will be fucked for a while.
Anyone in Philly or Baltimore? Those places have some low-lying homes where many low income people live. Hopefully this doesn't result in a Katrina like situation.

Some Tips, hopefully not too late
1. Fill cars with gas 2. Charge EVERYTHING 3. Do all the dishes 4. Do all the laundry. 5. Set Fridge & Freezer to their coldest setting now. 6. Have lots of Cash 7. Fill the tub(s) with water. If there's no running water, at least you could flush the toilet. 8. Fill all pitchers, and any containers with water (see 7 above) 9. Bring loose outside stuff in 10. Keep making ice & storing it in freezer bags 11 Video your house & belongings now ...inside & out if possible ...for the ins. co. in case of major damage 12 Have all prescriptions filled

I'm in south-central Connecticut. Crazy winds here since about 2:00 this afternoon. Around 5:30, half of my roof blew off and landed in my front yard. This storm sucks.
