Did anyone catch Emmitt Smith last night..... talking about rookies that will make a difference....

"Travis Henry" Um... ESPN, I know it's cool to hire ex athletes, but um, maybe lets hire the ones who haven't taken so many shots to the head that they can't make it through a 3 minute conversation and remember the subject. A shred of credibility would be nice.

Maybe they hire Mike Vick next just to round it out.

sounds like they've found another Joe Morgan.

Yeah, for me it's pretty much Bob Ley, Kenny Mayne, the 2 people who aren't Lee Corso on GameDay and Jaws breaking down film (if he is even doing it this year)

That KC Joyner guy is a real tool as well.

from his chat today:

Nick (Syracuse, NY): Do you think Reuben Droughns would be a good late round pick in fantasy drafts even though he wont get the most carries?

SportsNation KC Joyner: (4:53 PM ET ) Possibly, but don't forget that Cleveland had a really rough early schedule. You might not get many points out of him until after week 7.

it's pretty good. Spending the $$ on a few name actors seems to have paid off.

Maybe some of you have seen this or read about it, but I hadn't. Interesting news on Mr. Sean Salisbury . . .

Last night after the Yankee-Red Sox game ended, they ran the normal 90 minute Sunday in September Sportscenter. I think it ran about 10 minutes longer because the baseball game ended at around 20 minutes past the hour, so it ended up being about 100 minutes. Great, right? I mean you've got 15 football games, plus about as many baseball games, amny with playoff implications, plus golf, auto racing, plenty to fill the time with good detailed highlights.

But no. They dedicated nearly a full half hour to highlights and discussion of the Patriots BLOWOUT of teh Chargers, including about 5 minutes EACH of unedited press conference babbling from Bill Belichek, Tom Brady, and LaDanian Tomlinson. I was about ready to throw a beer bottle through my TV. Shut the FUCK up!! There were NFL games that they dedicated 30 seconds to, and they put up a live press conference for 5 minutes just HOPING that Belichek might say something interesting (he didn't).

The producers of this show have ruined Sunday nights in September. I wouldn't have thought such a thing possible.
