I wore my Astros cap yesterday and I got a compliment on it from the girl at My Fit Foods. I thought it was a little weird, considering I live in Houston.
p.s. I'm not the guy nor is it the cap from that picture thodoks posted.
sounds like she was flirting with you..was she cute? would you consider leaving your lady for her?
She was very cute, but didn't seem like my type. We did share a funny moment though. When you buy a dinner from MFF, apparently the girl that rings you up walks with you to your car and then hands it to you. The thing is, I live two blocks from there so I walked. It was my first time, so I didn't know she was going to walk me to my car. When we got to the end of the parking lot and the last car there, she and I had a weird moment and I was like, "well I walked here so can I have my chicken fettuccine? Nice meeting you."
that's a pretty freakin' weird practice...i'd probably be too tempted to kidnap whoever walked me to my car
Maybe she did have a crush on me? It seems like a weird practice to me too, but it also seems weird and presumptuous to just walk a purchase to a customer's car if you have a crush on him. Plus, she seemed out of my league.
i'm pretty sure she wanted you...who could resist this?:

I don't feel like that picture really captures my essence. For the record, this is a much truer depiction of me. Complete with Astros cap and contacts.

Clicking that spoiler reminded me of Christmas morning, 1985. I was genuinely excited, only to be let down.
It was then that I learned that life wasn't fair.
What did you get for Christmas, 1985?
I got a bike. I had been obsessed with a blue bike that I found an ad for in a magazine. I yearned for that bike and I let it be known that it was the only thing I wanted for Christmas. I was in Red Rider territory, Reid. I remember sitting on the bike in Toys 'R Us, one day. It felt... Anyway, when the morning came, I was the first one downstairs. The lights were off and I made out a bike in the dimly lit family room. I ran over to the light switch, flicked it on, and... I learned that life wasn't fair.

I really don't think I'll be much help in this thread, though I'm going to the baseball game this afternoon.
the game is tonight yo
Well whatever. 6:05 and it's still sunny outside. I'm going. No post that you make can stop me.
Reid, if I give you a short list of baseball-related things to look for - and subsequently report on - will you do it?
I sure will.
1.) How does Michael Bourn's strike-zone judgement look? 2.) Has Oswalt recaptured the feel for the 12-6 curve, or is it more of 2-8? What kind of late movement does he have on his fastball? 3.) What kind of range does Manzella possess at SS? Do his throws to first sail, or are they fairly level?
