haha well there wasn't a ton of thought put into which clips I'd use (at least as there will be for the real one) and at the time I was thinking that since it was a pinch-hit homer it might be worth it

Okay who knows how long this will remain in youtube. That year end highlight reel I've talked about making, that I've been DL'ing a ton of clips from the Phils website all season long in anticipation of this, well this isn't anything close to the final version, I just wanted to for now put together something really fast just to get a feel for myself on how it might go on a larger scale. These are all clips from the earlier part of the season, and I decided for this to use Supersonic.
and now here's the REAL version. Finished editing this tonight, unfortunately youtube yanked it immediately, though oddly not for the music, MLB flagged it, but my first one still remains.

Quit being a homer. It was a 6 game nail biter that could have gone either way. If I can admit the 2003 ALCS was a great series then you can admit that this one was too. It may be a painful series to lose, but that doesn't make it any less great. Hell, both LCSs this year were great.

Okay so, Doc wins the Cy Young, and unanimously at that, so that's pretty damn awesome.
Though Manager of the Year is given out today, and I can maybe see the argument for Charlie not getting it, but fifth place in overall voting? That's just ludicrous. He had 18 players on the DL, and an offense that vanished for over 2 months. And finished with MLB's best record. Meanwhile, remember that "the big 3" didn't even exist until the last 2 months of the season.

Compare the complete ass crap that is the San Diego roster with the Philles roster. I think you'll find why the results fell the way they did.

But again, I'm not saying that a legit significant argument couldn't be made for Bud Black, and maybe even that yea for him to win it, but all things considered, and I know I'd get labeled a homer for saying so, Charlie being 5th down the line just ain't right.
Granted, Jayson Stark made the point in his story the other day, MOY is perhaps the hardest to pick of any yearly award, because there's no real streamlined, concise definition for what the criteria are.

Considering all that's gone down over the last week, it's kinda funny to think that only as recently as 2009, Brett Myers was our opening day starter.
which, in his continued bid to make Houston the Phillies South, I fully expect eventually Ed Wade to sign a 38 year old Cliff Lee to a 2 year deal worth $10M for the Astros. haha
