Apparently even Greg Cosell has not heard of/scouted the safety the Pats just picked.

Yep. I'm on the FO liveblog and no one knows who he is.

The players I picked in my mock draft are going pretty close to where I picked them in terms of number. Kinda interesting.

given that the pack just moved up, tavon wilson seems like a poor decision

Tavon Wilson
School: Illinois
Position: S
Bio: Three-year starter who finished with 81 tackles/1 interception/5 pass breakups as a senior after posting 48/1/7 the prior year.
Positive: Feisty college safety with marginal size/speed numbers for the next level. Displays fluid movement skills, the ability to go sideline to sideline and a burst to the action. Works to keep the play in front of him and fights to break up throws. Aggressive defending the run or screen passes.
Negative: Easily disrupted by blocks. Struggles in man coverage situations and cannot stay with receivers out of breaks. Occasionally bites on play-action passes.
Analysis: Wilson was solid on the college level and will be a serviceable player at the next level if he performs well on special teams.

Damnit Titans. I wanted him to replace Joe Mays. Pairing him up with Akeen Ayers and Colin McCarthy is going to be sick.

Too early for a QB. :shake:

Cheer me up, J and gg in AZ. The only Osweiler game I can remember was when Boise State ate him up for dinner.

I really hope this doesn't say something about their confidence in Manning's neck. I was thinking 4th round earliest for a QB and not looking for a replacement (which I don't know that he is) until the next draft or two.

I don't think it does--regardless of where you draft a QB, the ideal scenario is to have him fit behind Manning for 4 years. Still, we agree that 4th round would have been ideal for a developmental QB. There are still plenty of defensive needs--I wanted Brandon Boykin at that spot.

Ballsy pick by the Niners to take LaMichael James.
