Tek might get released if he shits the bed. The Sox have parted ways with guys who earned well more than $5-$8 mil  I can't wait till this happens. The drama will be so fucking great and all the pink harts will be crying.

That last part would be hilarious.

I hate the pink hats; they are ruining the Red Sox for me. Where were the pink hats when the Sox sucked or were getting bounced from the playoffs. Huh, huh!!! :haha:

Not referring to the actual hats; pink hat = casual, bandwagon fans

that's pretty established in the media, not sure why you are not aware

i'm well aware, my point was that the fans were there, they just couldn't wear "pink hats" back then b/c they didn't exist.

any mets fans have some insight on this ayala guy the twins just signed? i see he's got a fairly high era, but that's a worthless stat for relievers. i also see he had over 80 appearances. that's insane. any chance he'd be a good set up guy?

At this point I think the only name that WOULD surprise me would be Greg Maddux.

The Washington Nationals and Adam Dunn have agreed to a two-year contract, according to ESPN.com's Amy K. Nelson. The deal is worth $20 million, ESPN The Magazine's Buster Olney is reporting.

Shrewed Stan Kasten at it again. Here's to hoping this guy is not John Koncak for him.

Pretty good deal for both. The Nats get 40 HR+ power and Dunn gets 10 million a year for two years with an opportunity to still get another big contract in 2 years or get traded somewhere. If he ever cuts down on the strikeouts and or improves his defense he'll improve his interest greatly. This sucks for me, because now the Braves not only have a roster of shitty hitters, everyone else in the division can score runs.

The outfield rotation will likely be Hunter, Vlad, Abreu and Anderson with Riveria doing most of the DHing.
