I just watched an ESPN Classic episode on Emmitt getting the rushing title and when he and Moose embraced on the sidelines right after he did it and Emmitt let the waterworks go, I'll admit I misted up a bit

So come on, man up...
Rulon Gardner after finishing his last career wrestling match at Athens in 2004...where he left his shoes in the ring.

Not really a sports moment...but it involved a sports icon....When Walter Payton held the press conference and said he had cancer. I felt so bad for him, and wheneve i see it today, i still tear up

The first and only time I have ever had "tears of joy" was when the Colts beat the Bucs on Monday Night Football 2 seasons ago. Just as I was ready to go to bed Manning threw a touchdown pass to Harrison and then more shit started to happen. My emotions went up and down so much in such a short period of time I almost couldnt take it. After the "leaping" call was made it was like I was reborn. The Bucs where the best team in the NFL at the time and it was Dungys first game back at Tampa and then everything that went down with Mikes two fieldgoals at the end was nuts. I never really started to cry, it was more of a pannic/tear-up/natural high kind of thing.

For me it was Game 7 of the 2001 Stanley Cup finals. I could not contain myself during the last few minutes of the game. Then when Joe Sakic handed the cup over to Ray Bourque I completely lost it. I still tear up to this day when I watch that game.

Whenever I watch my 1988 Dodgers video or the 2000 rams dvd and I see Gibbys homer, Rick Demsey leap into Orel Hershisers arms, or Kurt Warner raise the lombardy

Yeah, I teared up over those too
Seriously, I still get chills when I watch the Houston comeback game. It's pretty inspirational to think that they came back, down 35-3, without their starting QB, the starting RB, and their best LB.

Marv Levy was a great coach!

He was pretty smart too...it was pretty funny to listen to his radio show and lunatic fans would be screaming into their phones about how football is war...and then Marv would calmy quote people he new that were on the beaches at Normandy to illustrate that football is NOT war. The angry callers really had no comeback.

tears of sadness the first 2 WS's they lost(after that i kinda got used to it)
I remember that one too.
I think that if the Braves somehow made it past the first round, I would cry tears of joy.

This will only even be understood by a vast minority of RM members, but when Ryan Miller tied and then broke the record for most shut-outs by a college goalie....amazing moment.
