They give awards to the most valuable player and such for the winning team, but how about some awards for the losers:
Least Valuable Player Yao Ming. Tons of minutes, very little talent. Most. Overrater. Player. Ever.
Biggest Ball Hog Tracy McGrady. 4/13 shooting speaks for itself. Took several stupid shots when West needed a basket most. Looks like he wanted to be MVP.
Most Disappointing Performance Rashard Lewis. Must've just had a bad night, eh?
Lost Opportunity Amare and Steve did not have a chance to get going due to barely any overlapping playing time.
Least Appreciated Performance Shawn Marion. 5/6 shooting, 3 offensive rebounds, I think 3 assists... Overall good performance, but nobody talked about him at all. Popovich seemed to realize he was doing well, as he got reasonable playing time.

Well, you know...
I guess you can argue some other underappreciated players and lost opportunities, but I guess those are the ones I noticed...

didnt Rashard only play like 9 minutes tho?
EDIT.....just looked again..he played 14 minutes.........1-7 from field goal range. ouch.
I actually felt kinda sorry for Rashard... He and Shawn were really the two players that were kinda borderline when it came to whether they deserved to play or not... Shawn was able to have a great game and show that he deserved to be there, while Rashard was a little off. He still probably deserved to be there, but I can see the game as something that might get a few people talking.

Kobe hit 2 3's in a row during that 4th quarter comback attempt. then he decided to keep shooting, and keep missing. Pretty much 10 second possessions for the West. They should have had Ray Allen knock those down.
I could tell from the West's team practice that Kobe thought it was "his" team. It was kinda funny to hear him get booed during the player introductions. We all kind of saw it coming.

kobe is not the reason why the west lost the game. maybe if duncan and garnett was on the court they would have won. and ray had plenty of shots they just werent falling.anyway its an alllstar game, who cares

I'm not saying he was, I'm just saying if they were going to try and come back via the 3, after Kobe missed a couple I would have let Allen shoot a few instead.

You're right, Tracy McGrady was much more of a ballhog than Kobe. But you're right, who cares. That's exactly the attitude pretty much everybody on the court had, besides those trying to make more of a name for themselves.

What about Jermaine O'Neal? He lead the East in scoring and all anyone could talk about was AI, LeBron, and Shaq.

I actually said in the other thread that he deserved the MVP more than A.I.
