Did anyone watch the game today? Damn that was an awesome game. I despise Duke and hold UNC in regard only a little higher, but I love watching these two teams go at it. What a comeback by UNC. Unless Wisconsin pulls something out of their ass I'll be hoping for an Illinois vs. UNC final this year.

May is having a monster year. He had a great game today. If Reddick doesn't have such a bad second half Duke wins easily. I mean they should have won as it was. That other guy was lighting it up for Duke though so I guess it was a wash.
Billy Packer had it right though when Duke was up by 9 they had to find a way to get the ball in Reddick's hand to get him to the line.

play without your leading scorer... spot the opposition a 9 point lead inside the 3-minute mark... and come away with a W by going on an 11 point run to end the game...

best scorer in the country vs. demarcus who?... come on peeps...
i will agree that it probably hurt duke more in this game for duke to be without nelson than carolina and mccants, but that's only because carolina's bench is loaded... but talent-wise they're not even in the same ballpark

actually i meant relying on nelson, who is a freshman, instead of dockery, their regular pg

Oh, wait, I was dreaming of Dick Vitale again.

it's not a dream...

IT'S COLLEGE HOOPS BABY!
Is there an emoticon for a person vomiting?
just know you're not the only one who can't stand listening to vitale spit out his love for every one on every team in every conference in college basketball...

I was trying to figure out why when UNC won that they were saying this is some sort of shocker. UNC is #2 and Duke is #6 so I would expect UNC to win.
lunkin's right... the shocker was the fact that carolina trailed 73-64 with under 3 minutes to play... when is the last time duke blew a lead that big with that little of time left?... it's probably been a while... watching the game, i never thought the tarheels were going to lose, couldnt fathom it after what this group of seniors had been through (the 8-20 bunch)... but at 73-64 i definitely began to think the unthinkable... duke was on a 9-0 run at that point... and carolina comes on with a 11-0 run to end the game... just an incredible and "shocking" comeback... besides, by the time carolina's game began kansas, illinois, and kentucky had lost, so i think everyone kinda thought we'd see another upset... not with roy at the helm

You sound as if the guy has 4 or 5 NCAA Championships under his belt.
i think i'll go ahead and quote the greatest coach in college basketball history (at least one of the top 2 or 3 if it pleases you) dean smith...
after winning it all in 1982 he made the comment that he was no better a coach after the game than he was just hours ago before the game...
roy is where he should be now... and he'll get one soon... even if they somehow come up short this year, the recruiting is back to the days of old and they will be loaded for years and years to come... (for now, see: Tyler Hansborough... can anyone say a white version of Marvin Williams?)
