Alot of people think that McMahon is good for some reason, but i dont no why. He hasnt proved himself anymore than Harrington has. As for the Lions this could be their year considering the rest of the division looks like crap they may be able to make a run.

McMahon does not have the patience to stay in the pocket for more than 1 second and, therefore, does not give his receivers any time to get open. He takes a lot of sacks by scrambling and being forced out of bounds. I could never understand why some people thought he would be such an upgrade over Harrington when they were calling for a QB change. Oh, on top of it, he's not a very accurate thrower.

anyone who thinks mcmahon is "good" is just fooling themselves. He has had maybe 2 good games. total. hes been in the league four years. The throws picks, takes sacks and makes bad decisions. McMike is an exciting player- that doesnt make him a good one.

Harrington has all the physical tools- he just needs to get out of his own head a little bit.

LB core is very solid and young. Lehman, Bailey, Lewis, Davis.. and holmes is old.

Saftey was the biggest need. Hopefully Kennedy is enough.

They just need to sign a guard and a back up QB.. and then they can do something thats usually reserved for good teams in the draft--- draft the best available player... regardless of position (other than QB, RB or WR.)

An offensive core of Rogers, Williams, Pollard, Hakim, Jones, and Harrington sounds quite good to me. May they all be healthy!

A word of warning about Kenoy--he is definitely a STRONG safety. He will make jarring hits and put the fear into WRs, and he'll be a fan favorite. However, he is not the best in coverage. One of the Broncos' secondary problems last year is that they had virtually two strong safeties on the field (him and Lynch), and this hurt with Lenny Walls out most of the season and no solid #2 CB. Thus, I wasn't devastated when he didn't re-sign (though they better draft someone to groom in place of Lynch soon).

However, I still think he's an excellent pickup by the Lions. He should definitely improve the defense.

I've really liked what the Lions have done in recent years. It's all on Joey Harrington now--if he can perform, then the Lions are my sleeper pick to win the division (the competition isn't looking that good).

I guess I shouldn't have based my opinion off of one game. But I remember McMahon coming into the Thanksgiving Day game a few years ago (against the Packers) and he was unbelievable. He damn near rallied the Lions to victory. But now that I think ab out it, that's the only time I've ever seen him play.

Bhawoh Jue looked good in that game too, and he's sucked ever since. Must've been something in the water that day in Detroit.

I concur. I never understood why everyone had such a hardon for him.

I have faith in Harrington. I thought he started pulling it together at the end of last season. If he has healthy WRs and a healthy Kevin Jones, I think Joey will do just fine with this offense. This could be the year the Lions finally break through and accomplish something. A good pass rusher out of the draft sure would help.

Last year everybody said that Detroit was the team with the best draft...didn't pan out too good. You know it's a bad situation when a team makes national news for simply winning a road game. Until I see the Lions making a playoff run, I will never think of them as a good team.

Their draft turned out just fine. It wasn't the play of those rookies that led them to that record, it was massive injuries and inconsistent play.

And not a Lion anymore. He's actually not on any roster...anyone know what happened to him?

i'd like to know as well

He's a free agent.

What the hell...is there something about this guy that NFL teams see that I don't? Whenever he's been in a game, he's produced. I don't know why the Lions haven't given him a chance, and I don't know why nobody has signed him yet.

I hope the Cowboys have been paying attention to him... with some Parcells in him he can be pretty decent

I don't think he quite fits into the Cowboys' system -- he's under 45. :)

I know... we'll have to wait for him to collect his pension before we can pick him up

Yeah, with just Jones and Williams they pretty much revamped their entire offense while having both miss games with injuries. Seems like a good draft to me.
