Fun fact: If the Astros win every remaining game they'll still be 2 games under .500.

Astros submitted a notice to change both their uniforms and their field (probably that ridiculous novelty hill in CF) to MLB. I'm not sure you can get worse with either.

Good riddance to both, though there have been some fun moments on that hill.

There's also talk of removing the train that travels the tracks behind the left field wall. As much as I love trains, I'll be happy to see that thing go. I feel bad for the conductor, though.

I never got why you didn't like that train. I mean, I get why most people don't like that train, but you're a train guy.

Also, does this mean MLB has to approve new uniforms? If that's true, I'd like to know who approved those hideous Marlins unis.

I like ballparks for the same reason that I like trains; at their purest form, they are sacred symbols of America's past. However, when the two are combined, the result ends up looking like a gimmicky mess.

I'm afraid we won't see a run like this again in the near future, at least not unless management loosens the purse strings. Baggy is my favorite player ever, followed closely by Biggio. Neither have alot of life left in them, and I fully expect, as much as it hurts, to see Baggy DH'ing in the American League in the near future. Beltran is gone, we can't afford him, the Rocket, probably won't make another run with the 'stros if the team loses too many good players. Kent has talked about retiring after this season. Will Pettite be the player he was for the Yankees, or did we miss his window of opportunity in these playoffs? Lots of questions, but it doesn't look good for next season. Please prove me wrong Drayton.
Baseball is over for me for this year.
