because if they win tonight and the combined score is 167 or more I win my pool's $545 and can pay some of my wedding bills!!!
GO CAROLINA!!!!!!!!!!! i can forgive you for beating G'Town all those yrs ago, for one night!
i dont know about a combined score of more than 167... carolina would love for the number to be that high, but i find it very unlikely that illinois will try and run with them... illinois' best chance is to turn it into a halfcourt game and try to keep the score as low as possible

I agree. Illinois can not try to run with them. No team should take that approach against NC. Should be a great game. If May continues to play like he has, I don't know how Illinois will be able to respond, though.

May will not be stopped, regardless of the defender... pretty much a given he'll get 15-20 pts and 8-15 rebounds every night out...
knowing how the illini love to double the post, watch out for marvelous marvin... he hasnt done a whole lot since the 2nd round, and he might just bust out bigtime tonight

I am hoping NC will score at will tonight and that Ill will be bombing up 3's and hitting them....no D tonight, NO DEFENSE!!! i need that cash!!
well, another problem with illinois bombing up 3's at will is that fact that carolina isnt going to play some weakass 2-3 zone like louisville did... they will guard the 3 much better than l'ville and force illinois to take it at them at times... carolina almost always plays man-to-man and will do so tonight
sorry to keep bursting your bubble, so to speak, but i just dont see the final number being super high in this game... hell, i'd love to see a 90-85 ball game, but it's not likely... you could always root for OT

I'm also pulling for UNC, though I think it's going to be a classic and they had better play like they did in the second half against MSU the entire game. This is essentially a home game for the Illini, I don't get the 2 pt favored for UNC, where the hell does that come from. Sure there are thousands in the streets and bonfires buring in chapel hill, but that entire arena will be pulling against them. That, and Roy Williams is in another championship game. That should equal no favorite if any.
I fully expect the Illini to shoot 3's until thier arms fall off, this should be a good one, I can't pick an outcome, but I'm pulling for the heels.
GT coach Paul Hewitt, noted last Friday that UNC had the best field goal percentage defense of anyone in the ACC, they did the same against MSU, but did not rebound well in the first half at all, Sean May needs to have a game like he did earlier against Duke. Something along the lines of 25 and 22.
The rest is going to be on guard play, let's see who gets in foul trouble first.
UNC has so much damn talent......if Roy doesn't screw this up, they should win by 10.
seriously, I think UNC could win more games then the Bobcats, Hawks, or Hornets if they were in the NBA.

if by "grown men" you mean Kevin Willis, Googs, PJ Brown, and George Lynch.......I'll take my chances.
an ALL-STAR team created from those 3 rosters is barely a 30-win team ......

your point might be made if they only had to play against the cats, hornets and hawks, but theres minnesota, dallas, heat, san antoine, seattle phoneix and a few other teams out there that would crush them

not many rooks can stand out in the nba... but if you gave this heels team 3 or 4 years to grow into men, they could pull off 40+ wins down the road

ed mccants maybe
he doesn't have the game.
felton and may i can see making waves, but not mccants.
mccants game (offensively) is better than anyone in college basketball... and his defense is twice as good this year as last... he will be a lottery pick whether he leaves this year or next... bank on it
