cant someone explain to me how Dominique Wilkins did not make the hall of fame
Over a 15-season NBA career, the former Hawk averaged 24.8 points per game. His 26,668 career points make him the NBA's ninth leading scorer of all time. He won as many NBA slam dunk contests as any other player in NBA history, was selected to nine straight all-star games, and is the Atlanta Hawks' all-time franchise leader in both scoring and steals

He was ridiculously one dimensional and his teams never won anything. He wasn't a big favorite of the press either.
Still though, 9th all time scorer? I had no idea he was THAT high. One dimensional or not, 9th all time is fucking silly amounts of points.

yeah, you tell me.
the guy did that, against the likes of Magic, Bird, Jordan.......
it's absolute bullshit he isn't in right now.
He's not just the all time franchise leader. He is the franchise.
AS.....its the GD hawks. Check out the draft picks from the early 90's and then complain they didn't win anything. Pete Babcock is the single worst GM in the history of all pro sports franchises ever.
They only had 1 player. well ok Spud Webb was there for a while.
Still, it's unbelievable what he did on a team that was so shitty.

He should be in the Hall. Atlanta never got to any Finals but they were winning 50+ games regularly. They had to deal with the Bird Celtics, Jordan Bulls and Isaih Pistons.

I'd say his teams did pretty well considering the best players he had as teammates consisted of Doc Rivers and Kevin Willis.
oh, and his nickname was the Human Highlight Film

Maybe it was because of the way he left the game. He played over seas and in the CBA just to get back into the NBA in the late stages of his carrer. I dont see how this would affect his chances on making it to the hall, but who knows?

rodman should get in... but if it was only for that rebounding then i say no way... imagine how many boards a game someone like barkley would have averaged if that was all he had to concentrate on... he'd go a few seasons with 20+rpg... but rodman put up some points in his badboy days... with the addition of that i would put him in
i see what your saying but even if Rodman didnt score big in his Piston days i still say he should get in eventually.
i think if a player is amazingly good at just one thing he should get a shot. i was gonna use Stockton as an example but then i remembered how unreal he was at steals so there goes my example lol
18.7 rebounds per game average is straight RIDICULOUS. you will never see that number touched again.
