I watched that Florida game today and I was really impressed by them. They have a chance to make it a couple rounds.

I'm not that impressed with Kansas and am thinking they might be out early in the tournament.

Florida has beaten UK twice in what, 2 weeks? They could make some noise for sure. Kansas has looked like crap down the stretch.

If that kid made his free throws saturday -- the COUNTRY BOY UofL Cardinal would have been an at large team.

Good thing MEMPHIS isnt in the tournamnet...

for something different one year the seedings should be done solely based on the graduation rate & GPA of the basketball team.

Washington is a #1 seed? wow. I did not expect that. I guess Kentucky blew it with that SEC championship final.

I don't see them beating Wake.

That's assuming they get past Louisville or G. Tech . . .

I don't see why Duke was a number one seed...

As much as I'm rooting for Kansas, they'll probably be eliminated early. As long as neither Duke nor Arizona win it all, I'll be fairly content.

you dont see why Duke was a number one seed?... well i could give you several reasons why they are... but i hate 'em, and i'll leave that to Peeps... washington is the sham as a 1... it shouldve been Wake's...

Instead of who? Wake? Oklahoma State? Connecticut? Duke definitely deserved it more than those two teams. When you lose 5 games during the year and win the ACC tourney, you deserve a No. 1 seed.

Not a chance. The committee had the Pac-10 rated higher than the ACC. Washington beat AZ twice and won its conference tourney. Wake got throttled by Illlinois and got bounced in its first ACC tourney game. Plus, the committee was not going to give 3 No. 1 seeds to the ACC.

of course, every outlet i was watching beforehand (ESPN and CBS) had Illinois, Duke, Carolina, and Wake as their number one seeds... so i dont think it was out of the realm of possibilities... everybody wants a boohoo when they lose a player, but Wake loses Paul for a game and gets no slack for it... Wake deserved that seed (though Paul deserves a serious beating for the shot he took at Hodge's nuts)

and in regards to the bolded comment... were they handing out crack to the selection committee this year?

definately no wake, but how in the hell does the committee have the pac 10 above the acc? i dont think the pac 10 is better than the SEC and the SEC had a down year for quality teams.
