Belive it or not I actually took that bet in '97 (I think, whenever he won his first Masters) and won 10 bucks off my boss at the time. I don't know if I'd take that bet this year though. Probably not.

I'd definitely take the field. Did you see that tee shot that Woods pushed into the driving range last week?

What kinda odds is he getting? If it's even you better take the field against Tiger
That's what i'm saying, he's crazy, i'm almost sure they're even. It's not too far fetched, But you also need to look at the way he's been playing...the Bay Hill last week and the fact that it's one of his "home" courses and he was -1 overall. On the other hand his confidence is way up and when that happens, if you golf, you know it's a dangerous weapon.

Has nothing to do with the outcome, Tiger is thinking in the present (not how bad everything is going to end) when he hits a 90 degree hook, ten feet off the ground, out of the pine needles, that lands short of the green and rolls 12 feet past, right before he one putts. Good golfers adjust to conditions and Tiger is no exception.

Yeah, but my point was that he's not on top of his game to the point where I'd take him against every other player in the field. The Tiger Woods of 2005 is not the Tiger Woods of 2000...no matter what the TV commentators say.

The only problem with this bet is there is only a few other people other than Tiger that can win the Masters. Maybe 6-8 other people that could win it, unlike other championships where maybe 20 people could win.
