i did some math earlier today and, assuming he continues to get the same number of at bats per game, Lee could average about one hit per game for the rest of the season and still hit .330 or so. madness.

lee's numbers are going to suffer when the cubs fall out of contention in the second half and trade jeromy burnitz. also by then, aramis ramirez will be on the DL, dusty baker will have been fired, and corey patterson will be in the minors.

in that division, i have trouble seeing the cubs fall too far out of contention. the only team worth a damn in that division is the cardinals. and i include the cubs in that assessment
