i offered Burrell and Castilla for Vernon Wells and Blalock and he accepted...i have plenty of depth in the outfield with Matsui, Carlos Lee, Huff, Pedro Feliz, and Berkman (though on the DL) all qualifying for the outfield...and i have Glaus, Feliz, and Huff qualifying at third base....was this a good trade?

i like it. if wells hits like he can and not like he did last year (though he was hurt), it will be a pretty good trade for you, i think.

well I just traded Kerry Wood for Mike Mussina and Brad Wilkerson.

I think that's pretty good for me.

ya, blalock may have been a good pickup, but look at his numbers before and after the all-star break. he always does better before.

As a Phillies fan I can almost guarantee you Burrell will start sucking in at least a month... he did this last year... torrid month of April and sucks shit afterwards... he gets so down on himself when he starts struggling and he overanalyzes his swing and just starts blowing... I'm really hoping he doesn't do that this season (and there's a chance he wont... new management and all) but I wouldn't be surprised

I like it. I dumped Castilla a while ago expecting him to cool off. He hasn't yet, but I still see it coming soon. Wells will likely continue to get better because he's been pretty bad. Being a huge Jays fan, I know what he's capable of. I like Blalock a lot but I don't know enough about himro make any real judgement. It's the same situation with Burrell... though most people here would agree that he'll tail of fairly soon.

I say B+. You definitely improved.

yeah, like i said if blalock falls off i have 3 other 3B options..same for wells i have other decent outfield options...i pretty much just picked up castilla when he was hot so nobody else would get him, it worked pretty well

now if only sheets could get it together my pitching staff would be excellent

sheets has pitched very well. he's had some bad luck is all.

and blalock is loads better than castilla, especially in the coors of the american league.
