Well, I compared those two to the players of their era. Neither were power hitters, but both hit for very impressive averages year in and year out.

Gehrig had some amazing numbers. i remember being shocked the first time i looked them up. everything he did was overshadowed by Ruth. i think he had 4 HR's the same game where Ruth did that 'call his own HR' thing.
