I also see Ron Santo driving every now and again.
And Tex Winter used to live about 3 minutes away, but i never saw him.
Oh, i almost forgot about Dick Jauron, he used to attend my church when he coached the Bears.
And i met Jim Morrissey who played for the Bears and had an interception in the super bowl.
This doesnt really count but i went to high school with Ron Artest's brother.
Laron Profit (Washington Wizards) - went to my highschool. he actually played a pickup game with me and my friends in my driveway once. he was a highschool senior averaging like 36 a game and we were 7th graders lol.
Allen Iverson - literately a dimly lit backstreet in D.C. .....is there any other way to meet Allen Iverson?
Dave Williams (Pirates Pitcher) - went to highschool with him.

Matt Nokes in Subway

Eric Lindros and Bobby Clarke signed autographs at the food store near my house. This was back when the two of them actually liked each other, so like 1994 I think.

my best friend stumbled upon my favourite footy player at a book signing one time. she is a fierce supporter of our biggest rival but she bought the book and waited in line for about an hour just so she could get it signed for me.
i think that beats any of my actual meeting sports players stories.

add Mickey Morandini to my list.
i didnt even know who the hell he was when i met him.
I saw Pat Burrell at the Irish Pub in Philly finger blasting a girl up her sundress right at the bar. The following weekend my buddy walked into the bathroom and he was bangin a girl in the stall. Both times we bought him drinks and he bought us a few.
I've heard he gets drunk and rowdy and escorted out of alot of bars around the area.
Larry Anderson last summer at the Cask & Flaggin (sp?) in Boston. We bulshitted for about a half hour. Very cool guy, very funny.
Frank Wycheck when he was working at the beer distributer around the corner from my house. (Owned by one of the owners of Afleet Alex, the #12 horse in the Kentucky Derby this year).
Keith Byars and Keith Jackson, former Eagles, when I was in grade school they were on a charity team that played against the teachers at my school. They signed autographs afterward.
Rick Mahorn at the Franklin Mills mall, got him to sign my Sixers hat.
forgot to include the coolest one.
I met Bob Sura at Dorney Park in PA a week after he got drafted. Coincidentally I had a Bob Sura Florida State jersey on. I was playing ring toss, he comes up and starts playing ring toss and yells over to me "Hey, I like your shirt". I was 18 or 19 at the time, he was hanging with his family, I wished him good luck and shook his hand, I could tell he felt a little embarrased. I regret not asking for a picture.

really? I can't say I'm suprised. I'd like to hear some stories.
He never had a problem the few times my friends or I saw him at the Pub (maybe 6-7 total) but then again I have thrown up sitting AT the bar at that place and haven't been thrown out.

the most notable i can think of is about 2 years ago in chicago. i heard he was so trashed and causing such a scene he is banned from that bar for life.

haha, this isnt even the first time ive heard this
I remember it so clearly because the bar was not very crowded at all, "sundress girl" as we called her, was there the entire time we were. We all admired her and her hotness and who isn't a sucker for a nice looking girl in a sundress. It was white with blueish flowers on it. We bought her and her friends drinks and bullshitted for a while. We were trying to figure out which one of us would be lucky enough to score with sundress girl when Pat the bat comes rolling in, within a half hour he is sucking face and giving her a pap smear at the bar. Fuck us.
