Phil is showing up on the ABC Pre-Game show tonight and there are some rumors that he may be announcing his return to the Lakers. A couple of sources in LA I just saw on TV said that a return was "very likely." I'm not sure what I think about this if it does happen...

Cha!

They said something about some sources in LA saying the two were really close to a deal, and I don't know if you caught it, but at the very end of the segment Tony said something like, "There is a source in LA that says it's happening tonight." I don't know if that was a letter or him just talking out of his ass, but I wouldnt' be surprised if the Zen-master announced it tonight.

It's going to take a lot more than a new coach, even Phil, to bring the Lakers back into contention.

yeah i agree. the lakers roster is completely fucked up. a combination of phil jackson, pat riley, red aurebach couldnt get this team to the playoffs

It would be nice to see Phil Jackson take a sub par team to the playoffs and far into them. It's the only knock I have on him.

no info, but he did say he would be revealing his decision in the coming days so that's good.

That's my knock on him too, I just don't see the lakers right now being what Phil would want to do.

That was the most useless, hyped up interview. He said nothing. Complete waste of time. I guess his ego just needed some face time on national TV.

can't run a triangle offense with that team.

How can he come back to the Lakers after what he said in his book about Kobe?

Excellent Answer! All he needs now is a wheelbarrow to carry it.
