No European football for the scum, as usual. Perhaps their sponsors Thompson's could give them a nice little holiday to Europe, it's the only way they'll get there. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Yep, talking about Rottenham. Don't matter round there? And they've always claimed to have such a big American following (glory hunters from the 60s, 70s and 80s more like, who have probably swapped their spurs shirts for manu and chelsea shirts.

A large American following for a European soccer team leaves about 99.9% of US residents having no idea what you're even referring to. Not a lot of coverage around here unless you make an effort to find it.

Well, most posts in this section will be about something most viewers know little or nothing about.

As an American sports fan, this makes no sense to me.

I'm surprised as as an American has just taken them over. The American flags and USA chants in Cardiff were funny (their fans aren't happy about the takeover)

Perhaps if you'd identified them as "Manchester United", you'd have elicited a reaction rather "manu" - I thought you were talking about Emmanuel Petit for a second.

And why blank out the "u" from Spurs in the title of the thread btw? It's not like "Spurs" is a swearword. Even Gooners can't bring themselves to hate them anymore.

We do believe me. Title rivals come and go, but I will always hate spuds, mostly because of their wanker "fans".

Don't speak for me thank you very much... and I'm as dyed-in-the-wool a Gooner as they come.

They'll always be major rivals... and I love beating them twice every year in the North London derbies... but honestly, I get more satisfaction from beating Utd or Chelsea. Tottenham just aren't competitive enough to get that same level of satisfaction.

Yes a lot of their fans are wankers... but not nearly as much as the Utd fans, and let's face it, a lot of the Gooner hatred for Tottenham had a degree of anti-Semetism to it. That is slowly (and thankfully) disappearing.

Oh, and we pinched their captain. On a Bosman. Which was nice.

Like I said, the ant-Semetism is slowly disappearing from Arsenal. To be fair, it's probably been gone for well over 10 years now. When's the last time you heard the Clock End sing songs about Hitler gassing the Jews?

Probably before my time as an Arsenal fan. The word "yiddow" is used alot, including by the Jew I mentioned, but then I suppose it's maybe like blacks calling themselves niggars? :?

An argument about which which English football club has the most classless fans reminds me of NASCAR fans with stickers on their pickup of Calvin pissing on a Ford logo or a number 24.

There's no argument. Spurs fans, the worst hoolies in the country, yet the fastest runners when the numbers are fair.

I love when people start topics and assume everyone knows what they're babbling about.
