i cannot believe michael young and hank blalock's votes.
behind tejada, michael young is the 2nd best SS in the American League.
behind a-rod, hank blalock is the 2nd best 3B in the American League.
and Mark Bellhorn and Bill Mueller getting that many votes is a joke.

I think the Hillenbrand/Blalock choice is closer than most people are giving credit for. Blalock has probably been a bit better, but not by much at all.

I feel that the AL team is vastly superior to the NL team. Rolen, Eckstein, Edmonds, and Beltran didn't deserve to be on the team and they're all starting.

ensberg should have made it..blalock should have made it..nathan should not have..baez should not have..matsui should win the AL vote-in..oswalt should win the NL vote-in..those are my thoughts!!
anyone wanna take a stab at explaining the NL catching selections for me? heh

Can we stop the madness of having every team included? Brian Fuentes?
ya, the a's shouldn't of had anyone either.
No kidding. Although Duchscherer has been dominant in the setup role. He's their only player having a great season, but middle relievers don't have much of a place in the all star game. Look out though..Oakland starters are 11-0 with a 1.53 ERA over the last 12 games, and have allowed three runs or less in each of those outings
These are the reasons why the fans shouldnt pick the all star teams
Especially since the all-star game isn't for the fans.
the all star game is to determine who has home field advantage for the world series. remember? "this one counts"

Let's say I pay $100 to go see the All-Star game in Detroit and my favorite player is my hometown favorite Colorado Rockie Brian Fuentes. So I shouldn't be upset that Brian Fuentes is not there because "its for home field advantage" and all the best players are the only ones who should play??? In that case unless your team is above .500, they shouldn't even be allowed to play.
Yeah like the Rockies even know what World Series means.
