it's the most pathetic thing in history. they must have all stepped on infected needles at south beach.

did anyone else see their attempt at putting a tarp on an infield tonight?

i only saw the highllight on sportscenter. it showed him briefly and he looked upset. i did read the braves announcers actually predicted what was going to happen. that's how bad this crew is.

did hudson go off quite a bit?

My God, I was just going to post this. Watching this was the most nauseating/embarassing thing I've seen at a baseball game since sitting in the bleachers at Wrigley and seeing the 200 pound, 45 year-old "lady" in a halter-top stuff her face with a footlong.

For those of us that didn't see the grounds crew last night, can you describe what happened?

espn.com's mlb page has video of it. just go to the videos and choose the braves/marlins highlight.

but, what happened is the game was suspended in the bottom of the eighth. the grounds crew attempted to pull the tarp out, failed, carried it to the outfield, tried again, failed, carried it to center field, tried again, failed. they wound up never being able to cover the first base line. the infield was a huge lake.

Yeah, it's pretty lame now that it's a "thing", but it was damn funny when they first did it spontaneously.

As a Yankee fan I can say that this is the 2nd most embarassing thing about going to a Yankee game, the most embarassing is Cotton Eye Joe.

I demand to see some sort of statistical backup for your claims.

They may APPEAR to be horrible, but if you check out and combine obscure statistics, they may be underrated.

The one thing that redeems this is in the bleachers the one poor guy wearing an opposing team jersey gets bombarded with the "Y R U so gay" chant. The first time I saw that I lost it.
