How is there not a thread yet?

Anyway,

I don't think I've seen a single Kevin Garnett highlight on TV this year. The guy has disappeared it seems....so how did he make the All Star team?

Why no highlights lately then? Do the TWolves suck ass or something? I swear I've seen more Emeka Okafor / Bobcats this year on Sportscenter than I have KG.

So all-star selections are based on Sportscenter air-time now?

Just wondering why Sportscenter has basically banned KG from their highlights.

It looks like they were trying to get T-Mac the MVP.

15 minutes. That's all he got. What a shame. 10 points, 6 rebounds, still the fourth best scorer in the western team.

Marion did even better. 14 points in 17 minutes, with 8 rebounds. Like I said, they were trying as hard as they could to get T-Mac the MVP. It would be too unconventional for someone like Marion or Nowitski to get the MVP.

Sports Guy had a great column today. I must have laughed at loud at least 10 times. Here was my favorite:

Joe Forte's Topps Pristine rookie card was selling for $15 at one of the collectible tables, leading to the following exchange:

--Me (incredulous): Why is that Forte card selling for $15?
--Guy behind the table: It's a refractor card ... very hard to get.
--Me: So what?
--Guy: Well, that's the 2002 Topps Pristine set, and it's a refractor card, so ...
--Me: Yeah, but it's Joe Forte!
--Guy (confused): Well ...
--Me: He's been out of the league for four years!
--Guy: It's still a very tough card to get, it's still worth something.
--Me: No offense, but the only way that card is going to be worth something in 20 years if Joe Forte kills someone.
--Guy (after a beat): Well, we'll see I guess.

(Did the "We'll see I guess" mean "We'll see if it's still worth something," or "We'll see if he kills somebody"? I'd like to think he meant the latter.)

He came out way too early. Anybody who didn't see that flop coming is blind.

what's funny is that it seems as if he didn't know who "Worldwide Wes" was (the guy who bought his friend the round of drinks). I'm assuming it was William Wesley who is kind of an infamous character around the league. I'm suprised Simmons didn't even know who he was - you'd think someone who goes on and on about how he's one of the few hard core NBA fans would know.
