Right now, every player in MLB is eligible and you have to make a list of the top 5 position players and top 3 pitchers that would be at the top of your wish list. Keep in mind this is a franchise, not just one season, meaning age comes into play a bit. Who ya got?

do you know what Teixeira's contract situation/FA status is? I remember reading somewhere that he may become available for some reason.

He was arby but he signed a 2 year deal earlier this spring. Word is that they're going to be talking about an 8 year deal after this season.

I'd take anyone besides Adrian Beltre.

Anyone.

It's a shame he wasn't in the majors until he was 24. The astros were and i guess still are wayyy to patient with prospects.

i have to publically admit this: I WAS WRONG. sooo wrong.

I have no clue as to why Beltre has regressed SO much. It could be being out of the comfort of LA, it could be not having Tim Wallach as his hitting coach anymore, I just dont know.

But I will say I have never seen a better and more MVP deserving season out of a Dodger player than I saw Adrian have in 2004. I will never forget that year he had. I wish he could regain whatever it was that he had that season. damn

isn't he a Boras guy? Makes me think he won't be signing any deals that buy out FA years. He'd look good in pinsripes once the Yanks are done paying Giambi's ridiculous contract.

Why would Giambi stop them? DH Jason and let Teixera play 1b.

anything is possible with Boras in the mix. There's a good chance Hicks doesn't want to risk looking foolish again.

Nobody could fault him for signing Teixeira long term. He's as sure of a thing as you're going to come across. He'll win a triple crown this decade. Hicks has the $ to sign him long term and I'm confident he will.
