I know we don't have too many soccer fans here, but I just thought I would inform everyone that our men's team is now ranked 6th in the world, above a few powerhouses including France, England, Germany, and Italy. That is huge.
Tomorrow (Sunday, 2:30pm) our team will be playing in the Gold Cup final at Giants Stadium. I didn't see if the game was on TV or not. It would be a shame if it wasn't because it would be great for our team to win a tournament like this so we can get some more experience and confidence for next summer's World Cup in Germany.

i called my mom today to wish her a happy birthday and the first thing she blurted out was...
"Panama is gonna kick the United States' ass tomorrow. You gonna watch?"
i haven't watched a single game of this years gold cup. i dont have that univision channel. and im quite surprised Panama is in the final. and i dont think they have a fat chance in hell of scoring a goal tomorrow. but i wasnt gonna tell my mom that. this game is big news where i come from. everyone will be watching and the streets will be dead in panama.

It will be broadcast LIVE on Univision at 3pm EDT tomorrow afternoon. Sadly, no coverage in English, but at least there's coverage.
Awesome. I just saw that too. I will brush up on my Spanish beforehand.
Is, "GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLLLL" universal?

I think that's a joke that there is no english coverage of this game. Especially given how good the US team has become. I will probably watch on Univision. I may be jaded though, I've been in Mexico City the last week and there is nothing but futbol on TV there. Sportscenter is 45 minutes of futbol highlights and 15 minutes of everything else.
