That's right i'm starting a thread non-Boston based...... This guy simply amazes me. There is no doubt in my mind he will go down in history as the greatest player ever.
That's all for now

I'm sure he's used lots of stuff.... for instance I have used the keyboard, my hands, my eyes, my muscles, a glass, my tongue, my mouth, all in the last minute. and i'm sure I forgot a few things

What kills me is that even with all that talent and worship he gets from Cards fans, he comes across as a really good, decent guy.

He's really not that much better than Manny Ramirez, so any of this "greatest ever" talk is really out of control.

Athletic Supporter is probably right...it's too soon to call him the best, but here's some stats. Career averages of the (in my opinion) three current greatest players. career totals were divided by 162 games to give yearly avg. Leaders are in Bold

Pujols has 222 career homeruns... Ramirez had 154 at the same age, Bonds had 117.
Pujols has 674 career RBI, Ramirez had 517, Bonds had 337.
Pujols has a .332 career average, Ramirez was at .302, Bonds was at .264.
Obviously Bonds and Ramirez both got a lot better as they aged... if Pujols follows even a remotely similar pattern, he'll be far better than both of them.

and imagine if Pujols had that huge green wall in left field... half of his flyouts to left would turn into doubles
at this point in his career, Pujols is in a league of his own

This is very true. Look what he's doing this year. He does appear to be getting better. I'm not ready to give him the crown yet though.
