I hope the A's or Yanks get in. After both thier starts it would be nice to see em make it. The A's get on my nerves for making the postseason and never going anywere. And the Yanks piss me off because its a hired gun team. Cleveland is a good young team, but I just don't like them. And Minnesota isnt going to win.

I am gonna go with the Twins. I am a big fan so I am definately going with my heart, but I am not dillusional. The Twins have won 10 of 12, including four in a row against the White Sox, and are one of the hottest teams in all of MLB. They are only 2 1/2 out of the Wild Card right now. Twins pitching is steller. Johan Santana (12-6, 3.22 ERA, and a league leading 182 strike outs) is pitching like his Cy Young form of a soeson ago (6-1 since the All Star break with an ERA under 1.50). Carlos Silva (8-6, 3.35 ERA) is 6th in the AL in ERA this season, and Brad Radke (3.78 ERA) is a very solid BIG GAME pitcher that gets better as the year gets older. Minnesota's bullpen is amongst the strongest in the league with dominateing relievers such as Juan Rincon (2.47 ERA), Jesse Crain (9-2, 2.58 ERA) and J.C. Romero (2.93 ERA). Not to mention the Twins have one of the best Closers in the game in two time All Star Joe Nathan (32 Saves).
The only question mark comes on offence. The Twins lost team leader and Web Gem specialist Torii Hunter (.269, 14 HR, 56 RBI, 23 SB) weeks ago to a season ending foot/ankel injury. Along with the steady Shannon Stewart (.284, 10 HR, 52 RBI), the Twins rely greatly on inexperienced players such as the immencely talentet, but young, Joe Mauer (.305, 9 HR, 49 RBI), and the under achieveing Justin Morneau (.243, 17 HR, 61 RBI). If those players along with Jacque Jones (.254, 18 HR, 58RBI), Lew Ford (current AL Player of the Week,.262, 7HR, 47 RBI), and Matthew LeCroy (.275, 13 HR) can have a decent to good finishing month, I think it is entirely possible to see the Twins in the post season for the fourth year in a row.
are you rooting for the phillies for me? like PJiggy is?
