I hate NASCAR, but if I was a fan, I'm guessing that Tony Stewart would be my favorite driver based on what I've heard about him.
and what have you "heard" about him that would make him your favorite?

Either him, or Dale Jr cuz he likes to party. I know cuz I saw him on Cribs.
if you are referring to the club he built in his basment, he tore it out about 2 years ago.

Tony Stewart: He seems like kind of a hot-head who is controversial, stirs the pot, and generally brings more entertainment to the sport. He gives you something to talk about off the track, cuz let's face it, the on the track part is pretty damn repetitive.
Dale Jr. : Yes, the bar. Damn, too bad he tore it out. Did he get married?

you just described more than half of the guys on the circuit. maybe you would actually enjoy NASCAR if you gave it a chance.

no he did not. I believe his exact words were "I grew up."

I realize that there's a lot more to the sport than I will ever give it credit for...and don't get me wrong, I like to drive my own car fast. It's fun.
However, what it boils down to is a bunch of cars driving around in a circle together over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. It's just an oval. They could at least drive on more interesting courses (like they do in Europe?) where they actually have to turn right, as well as left.

well there is a lot more to it than that, but you are entitled to your opinion.
However, if you get the chance, check it out this Sunday. they are racing on a road course (and yes they will be turning right).

To be quite honest with you, I'd rather watch the M's lose. Thanks anyway though...enjoy your race.
