...if the Braves win the division, and he leads in HR and/or RBI. It would also help if he finishes with a BA of at least .275.

Think about it. He's already a gold glove CF, so he matches with Lee there. He provides vetran leadership on a team that has more rookies than not, and neither Lee nor Pujols can compete there. The Cubs aren't going to make the playoffs, and the Cardinals will but Pujols is not by a long shot the only veteran playmaker there.

So yeah, Jones for MVP. Otherwise Pujols. Lee's pace is slowing down and the Cubs suck, much as I am a blue blood.

pujols is better than anyone in the NL right now, and it's not close, and i love andruw jones.

and i'll add a gold glove centerfielder is much more valuable than a gold glove first baseman.

he also doesn't get lazy in center field and let baserunners take a base on routine fly balls, costing his team a run.

Poo Holes.... what about Chris Carpenter?

Andrew Jones gets my vote. He's finally got the other Jones monkey off his back.

Pujols is the best player in baseball, Lee is having the best year. I'll put Jones third for MVP this year.

Pujols is having another Ted Williams-like season and has led his injury riddled team to the best record in the NL.

Pujols in a landslide.

Andruw Jones is having a Sammy-Sosa-on-roids-like season and has lead his injury riddled team to the front of the toughest division in MLB. Jones in a landslide ;)

Are the braves not also "injury riddled" ? They've had 7 rookies start on various nights.

I'd say it's fairly close as to who's the most valuable to each team at this point.
