So right now, Orlando Hudson is the only one that I KNOW will win one. If he doesn't, then the voting is rigged because he doesn't use a Rawlings. He's got by far the most chances at 629 to Soriano's 563, and he's made a grand total of 4 errors, including 0 in the last 50 games. The fact that he makes the highlight reel at least once every night guarantees that he deserves it. He gets to more hard-to-reach balls than anyone I've ever seen.

Ok, maybe 2 for the Jays... Vernon Wells is eighth among outfielders with 276 total chances... and he's got zero errors.

Andruw Jones will get himself another one, as will Edmonds most likely.

I'm not picking on your thread or anything, but the GG awards are the biggest f--king joke.

You can't even count the times the voters have come up with winners who did not even come close to deserving it. Look no further than last year when Jeter won it, and I'm a Yankee fan. I guess it made up for the time Tino lost out to a guy who played 1B for 30 games (was it Palmeiro?)

hahahaha yeah it was.

I know that sometimes the voting is ridiculous, I'm just happy that the Jays have two overwhelming canditates.

the award is a joke because it tends to go towards the best fielder who can also hit. d lee wins if that's what the award is for.

Surely you're not arguing D. Lee is not one of the best, if not the best, defensive 1st basemen in the NL, are you?

Maybe once another team picks him up off waivers. But until then the avatar stays and will servie as a constant reminder that the Red Sox do not win the world series without Mark Bellhorn.

Almost as shocking as Phil picking two Jays to win Gold Gloves. ;)
