Federer has won his last 6 against Andre. But don't forget it took him a nail biting 5 sets at the open last year. also beating andre after a rain delay at 2pm in the quarterfinals is very different from beating andre in the finals of the US Open. Federer has also set a Tennis record by winning an astonishing 22 straight finals.

as far as the on court matchup. Despite both players making it to the finals neither is playing their best tennis and they are both having the same problems. both are being plagued by backhand errors and a susceptibility to having their serve broken. Both have huge forehands. andre's backhand is slightly better. Federer's seve is usually considerably better. Federer's the superior net player.

Prediction:

Federer plays the role as Sampras, hits big seves and forehands and foils Andre in 4 sets

the result will break my heart, and deep down I'm holding out hope Andre wins. Agassi was the reason I picked up a racquet and I have a strong sentimentality for him, but I've learned that except for a few rare occasions he always lets down in the big spots. He has a very human vulnerability to his game that Sampras and Federer don't have and thats why they will always beat him in these matches. I know it to be true

Head: federer in 3, 4 at most
heart: andre in 5

Federer may play Sampras' role, but he'll do it a lot better... as much as I hate to admit it, Rodge is a whole lot more athletic than was Pete and has a better overall game. Andre and Pete were polar opposites when they stepped on the court together... not so with Roger and Agassi. Federer can exploit things Pete never could.

It might not be a 3-setter, but Roger will win comfortably.

That's right. Roger is at a different level to anyone else. He should be handicapped :!:
