With the AL tightening up by the day and currently a virtual 3 way tie for the Wild Card lead (Twins 59-41, White Sox 59-41, Yankees 58-40), the question needs to be asked. Who will win the AL Wild Card?
Twins
White Sox
Yankees
Blue Jays
Red Sox (currently lead AL East)
Tigers (currently lead AL Central)
Other (Who the hell could the "other" be?)

Obviously I hope it is the Twins, the only team I don't fear from the list is the Blue Jays. Don't get me wrong, I know the Jays are a good team, I just think the Red Sox, Tigers, Twins, Yankees and White Sox are all just a bit better then they are. Overall, this is just too damn close to even have a clue.

If the jays could pick up another starter they might have a chance. After losing to seattle tonight the road is looking harder though.
They need to put together a 10 game win streak. Winning 2 of 3 in every series is fine and dandy, but the yanks and sox never seem to lose. They won't get another starter, at least not one that will help. They need to do it with the current group, mabye when Chacin comes back?

Yanks or Boston take the Wild Card.
Twins come from behind and take the Central.
White Sox and Tigers are playing golf first week in October.

the tigers have been playing steady throughout the whole season and i really don't see that changing anytime soon. i see them winning the central division.
i see the red sox winning the eastern just because they are the stronger team compared to the yankees.
i think the A's are going to win the west.
the twins are a hot team right now and the white sox are in a bit of a slump. but eventually i think the twins will cool off and the sox are going to hit a winning streak sometime soon just like they had last year.
