I searched and found no talk about this. Americans on the board probably could care less about this, but I watched Germany-Slovenia tonight and it was awesome. Should be very interesting semi-finals tomorrow, it's Greece vs. France and Germany vs. Spain/Croatia. Very surprising that so many top favorites like Slovenia, Lituania, Russia, Italy or Serbia-Montenegro are already out.
Well maybe you guys should, there are quite some teams that play a better ball than those glorious "dreams teams" you had the last couple of years.
thats all well and good, but remember, the good ol US of A, back in 92 wiped the world up with such ease that when the other team scored, they would celebrate like they just won the bronze

You realize that was 13 years ago, none of those players (ok, I'm not sure about Leattner, but he wasn't the "backbone" of that team anyway) is still active and the face of US-basketball changed, some might say, drastically. I'm very curious about Japan '06 and the turnout and who'll kick the "bling blings"-team's butt this time. Maybe not an european team, although I say probably at least two or three, but there's still Argentina and the likes.

If the actual NBA All-Stars who are US-born (which is most) ever played in the Olympics again, the USA would steam-roll everybody
To europeans on here who might have watched tonights game:
Awesome one! For everybody who likes basketball this was a real gem. First Greece won with 1 points after being back by 7 with just one more minute to go and now Germany beat Spain 74:73. Obviously I'm biased, but it was a great game and the last quater was pure energy. Nowitzki poured in one 3-pointer after the other one, no matter who was in his face and on his arm, big time!
