Chuckles was a good Knick, always was blamed way too much for the Bockers problems. Never gave less than 100% out there.

Good luck Charlie as a rockets assistant coach, you and Big Fella.

and btw, ND shoulda been champs in '94!!!

I wouldn't say that. It just says a lot more about the draft choices of teh Jets and Giants over the past ten years than about CW's potential as an actual NFL QB. He was too short and not fast enough. He made a couple million a year for ten years playing basketball, and his NFL career would never have lasted that long, nor been as lucrative.

Smart move, Charlie.

not sure how he was overrated... the guy wasn't even a starter for most of his career. Unless you think he was overrated as a QB.

I doubt he would have been much better than Brooks Bollinger.

who overrated him as a basketball player? it's not like he was voted to any all-star teams. And The NY media never made him out to be anything more than what he was...

the coolest thing about him was the way the Garden PA annauncer introduced him hehe.

i coulda lived without the bible thumping in the end, but Chuckles was a holdover from the "cant beat the Bulls" days, when the Knicks mattered to NYC more than the Yankees did....

he could play solid defense, and knock down the open 3-pointer - which was pretty much all they needed from him.

best thing about Ward was like maybe twice a game, he would go on these crazy suicide drives to the basket where he'd take on the other team's two biggest players and try to flip up a circus layup...which hardly ever went in.

How could he be overrated as a QB, he accomplished everything you possibly could in a span of two years.
