I don't know if he should be pitching at all. I personally think he has pushed himself to comeback from his injury and that he should have at least had a year post surgery of rest and rehab before even trying to start pitching. Everytime he pitches it looks like he can't push off well and thus can't get his velocity up to what it should be. I think he'll be knocked out of tonight's game early.

About as original as a Boston Red Sox thread.
If you don't like Red Sox threads don't read them. It's that simple.
Who said I didn't want to read them? I'm all about hearing what Mr. Schilling has to say about things such as: the Israeli/Palestinian conflict; Terri Shiavo; General Motors; the "new" Coke with Splenda; and increases in oil prices. I just don't want to have to look in 2054 threads to find them.
Of course he has no credibility considering he himself got up in front of congress and contradicted his own remarks on steroids.

I don't know why they even bothered bringing him back to the starting rotation. His velocity is off a good 5 mph, they are better off letting him rest until the playoffs. Papelbon has pitched well enough as a starter to let him take Schillings spot. Let Timlin or Hansen close games until Foulke comes back.

I agree. They should sit him and rest him or send him to double or triple A for work on his velocity. I have heard the average recovery time for the type of injury he had would normally be 12 to 18 months. He should not be pitching at all.
