Do any of you guys collect any kind of sports memorabilia at all? I went through phases (especially in middle/high school) where I collected everything and anything about sports. At every sporting event I went to, I would buy an official team program, and I tried to start a baseball card collection once, too. Unfortunately, that only lasted a couple of months, and my parents threw out all of the cards I collected (some of which could have been pretty valuable in the future). I still have all of my programs stored in a file cabinet next to my desk, but I've been thinking of selling some of these to raise some money, if anyone on here is interested. But I was just wondering if any of you guys went through similar phases or still collect cards or other memorabilia.

I don't consider myself a collector or anything of that sort. I have a few baseball cards that i'll hold on to. A few autographs also. that's about it

I have a bug bin of cards and other stuff in my shed. I used to collect years ago, but I dont anymore. I only really buy 'big' things that I really want.

The coolest thing I got recently, for a birthday present last year...an 8x10 framed picture of Bobby Thompson's Home Run in 1951 Signed by Bobby Thompson and Ralph Branca! Easily my favorite piece, although Im sure I have stuff more valuable....

me and my dad used to sell sports cards and memoribillia, and i actually started collecting cards well before that, but basicly from when i was 5 till i was about 18 or 19 i collected cards and other memoribillia, between the cards that are "valuable" and the common cards i had around 100,000+ and my dad aquired close to twice as much as me dirring the few years we were selling. last year a big chunk of our cards got destroyed in the hurricanes that went through florida, mine were mostly my commons and set completers but im not really sure what my dad lost, ive got all of my "valuable" cards here with me in Va. we also have quite a bit if starting line ups(the sports figures) racing collectables and autographs in storage down there and alot of other collectable stuff. my dad pretty much quit collecting when he stoped selling, but i quit a few years ago because it got to expensive to collect and and quite confusing with the way the do it now.

i think i am finnaly getting to the point where i realize i would be better off just trying to sell everythign because i have alot of money just sitting in my basement, i know i have one box of about 500 cards that about 5 years ago was worth about 10k, but its doing me no good sitting in a box and ive got bills i could pay, but it would still be hard because it was such a big part of my life.

anyway i have alot :P

When I found that store in the Dallas Galleria, I shit all over myself. My entire Xmas list this year is filled with nothing but stuff from that place.

I used to do the baseball card thing until the industry started getting way otu of hand as a business.

now I collect autographed mini helmets and I have a huge collection of Karros stuff, a game used bat, a game used hat, tons of cards and like 50 of his signatures, most of which I got in person.

I collect a lot of Rams stuff, I have a whole room dedicated to it all, I really should stop.

since my wedding began creeping up and now that its over and im poor, i have been a good boy and havent been on ebay in 6 months.

I have a butt load of baseball and football cards, at least 2 or 3 big boxes full. And i have over 200 starting line-ups. Between like the age 8 and 15 i used to go to Toys R Us once a week to see if they had any new ones. And i still look on ebay to try and pick up some cheap ones that i dont have.
