I guess this is kind of interesting to debate.

That Georgetown team with Zo, Ewing, Deke, and AI might be the best defensive team of all time...

No Temple? only the 4th winningest team in NCAA history.

Maybe I'm thinking of another team but haven't they never made it past the elite 8?

They are 1639-902 all time and 31-25 in NCAA tournaments. They have gone to the regional finals (elite 8 ) 5 times (and lost all 5). Not sure what getting to the final 4 has to do with having a great basketball history. They won a NCAA title the year before the first NCAA tourney, won the NIT tourney back when it was a bigger deal that the NCAA tourney and made 2 final 4's in the late 50's winning both "3rd place" games. They also won another NIT in the 60's.

I would put Kiki at SF instead of Marques, but that's just me....

We're talking about great college players right? not just guys who went and had good pro careers?

Macon
Perry
Jones
McKie
Rick Brunson
Pepe Sanchez
Lynn Greer
Guy Rodgers
Howard Evans
David Hawkins
Bill Mlkvy
Hal Lear
Marc Jackson
Granger Hall
Terry Stansbury
Nate Blackwell

Not alot of them went on to great pro carers but all were great college players. Almost all of them were All-Americans.

G Ben Gordon 6-3 02-04 16.9
G Ray Allen 6-5 94-96 19.0
F Richard Hamilton 6-7 97-99 19.8
F Donyell Marshall 6-9 92-94 18.1
C Emeka Okafor 6-10 02-04 13.8

The Bench
G Khalid El-Amin 5-10 98-00 15.3
F Clifford Robinson 6-10 86-89 15.3

I'll take my chances with the Huskies!!

Some of the better "new" stars. Ben Gordon is one of the most exciting players in the game today

the Hoyas front line would destroy them.

so would carolina's front line.... and Ford and MJ would run circles around them in the back court as well... no contest
