You do realize Bobby played with OJ McDuffie, Joe Juervisious(sp?), and Kyle Brady at Penn State which was the best college football offense of all-time.

Don't forget Kijana Carter and I think they had a pretty good FB at the time. That team was sick, but any Tommie Frazier Nebraska team would whoop their ass.

You gotta go with Pitts, even though statistically the colts may have a slight edge. Pittsburgh's just got Ward, who will do anything to get a first down, and does.

Marvin Harrison is the best reciver in the NFL today. I bet if you asked every DB and saftey in the NFL who they thought was the best, they would choose number 88.

The very fact that we debate this 10 years later shows why college football sucks (not the game itself, but big picture)...and it needs a playoff system!

after pittsburgh and indy, i have to give the nod to the green bay receiving core. driver, walker and ferguson are all capable of having monster games, bubba franks is solid and throw in ahman green or, more so, 3rd down back tony fisher.

What suddenly makes the Steelers WR's so good anyways? I'm not saying they're bad, but I wouldn't jump out and say they're the best in the league. Hines Ward is great, but come on, just last season people were hoping Burress would be traded. And Randle El is a good slot receiver...but I'm not sure he's anything more than that. Am I off base in thinking this way?

The Burress trade stuff was not so much due to his talent, but his complaining about the Steelers. Maybe a Steeler fan can elaborate on that more.
As for Randle-El, what else do you want out of your #3 WR beyond being a good slot receiver?

Yeah, I recall some of the trade speculation having to do with Burress's attitude, but I remember a lot of people talking about how overrated he is. And even if you look at his numbers, they're not that great. It's hard for me to judge, since I'm not a big fan of ranking players based solely on stats, because they don't show a lot of Steelers games up here in Green Bay.
And I suppose that Randle-El is exactly what you'd look for in a #3 WR. I guess I was thinking about a team having 3 #1 caliber receivers, but I don't think that would necessarily be a good thing. Point taken.
But still, I don't necessarily see why the Steelers' WR's are the best in the league. Very good, but not necessarily the best.

Burress isn't overrated at all. He just wouldn't shut up and report to camp with a year left on his contract. He wanted to re-negotiate immediately (basically because Tommy Maddox got that big extension which was a long time coming) and that's the reason people wanted to see him traded. It had nothing to do with Plaxico's abilities as a wide receiver. Everyone SHOULD know how good that guy is.

I was at PSU at the time and they had Pepsi cans with Kijana on them. Anyway, Kijana has the biggest head ever. One time walking home from class I saw Kijana 2 blocks down the street. His head is that big.
And yes the FB played for the Steelers after PSU. And PSU would have killed any Nebraska team that year, hands down.
Auburn will have a perfect season and won't get a national title just like PSU. But PSU was by far the best team in the nation in 1994.
